Licensing and workers
A licence is a key like SS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Each machine running ShareShift registers as a worker and holds a 15-minute lease that its heartbeat renews. When the licensed number of workers is reached, a new machine is refused until one releases its lease or goes quiet for 15 minutes.
If our licence server is unreachable, workers keep working for three days from their last successful contact, and in-flight packages always finish. Cancelling or revoking stops new packages within 15 minutes.
Monthly and Annual plans are bound to one destination organisation and can be moved to another once per billing month from the portal. MSP plans have client organisation slots instead.
